Starting from Oued Zhoune, the road climbs through old olive groves and soon takes you into the peaceful Berber countryside. You'll pass by small farms where locals use mules and gather water from wells. The rocky trails lead to the summit, offering stunning views of Fez, the Sebou Valley, and the Rif Mountains.

The hike is suitable for all levels and provides a welcome break from the heat, with cool mountain air and shaded spots perfect for a picnic. Full Description

Departure: from Fez

Your driver will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel and will take you on a beautiful drive through olive groves and rural landscapes, passing by traditional Berber farms along the way

Arrival: at the Trailhead 

Arrive at the trailhead where your hike begins, starting with an easy ascent that offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. As you continue, you'll pass through local villages and farms, giving you a unique glimpse into the Berber way of life.

Arrival: the summit 

The trail gets a bit steeper as you near the top, but it’s manageable. Take your time and enjoy the different views along the way. Once you reach the summit, you’ll be rewarded with stunning 360-degree views of Fez, the Sebou Valley, the Rif Mountains, and the Sais Plains.

Stop : For Lunch
After your hike, you’ll head to a nearby rural home to enjoy a traditional Berber lunch, freshly prepared with local dishes like homemade bread, tagine, olives, cheese, and seasonal fruit. This meal gives you a chance to experience the authentic flavors of the region while supporting local families and their way of life.

Return to: Fez
